We are born for a purpose in this earth, God has destined us and blessed us and ordained us, according to His purpose, for a specific assignment. We were born for a purpose; God put us here on earth for a reason; there’s a definite purpose for our life. Praise God!
You might ask, “So what’s my purpose? Why am I here?” To find the answers to these questions, you will first of all have to understand what the word “purpose” means.
Purpose is an idea or aim kept in the mind as the goal towards which your efforts are directed. It’s a definite intention; the object or reason for which something exists or is done. God said to Prophet Jeremiah before he become a prophet. In Jeremiah 1:5, The Voice Bible translation says: Before I even formed you in your mother’s womb. I knew all about you. Before you drew your first breath, I had already chosen you to be My prophet to speak My word to the nations.
Then verse 10 of the same chapter says: This very day I appointed you to speak with My authority over nations and kingdoms. Your word—My Word—will have the power to uproot and stamp out; it will destroy and upend. And then your word—My Word—will rebuild and plant anew. Praise God!
The Almighty God is a God of plan and purpose. By His wisdom, He preordained events and occurrences right from the beginning of creation to the end of time in eternity. Hallelujah! From God’s Word to Prophet Jeremiah, we understand that the purpose for which a person is born is hidden in His divine will. It is reassuring to know that irrespective of human objections or the devil’s opposition, the thoughts of God and His predestined plans for all things shall come to pass. Hallelujah!
Isaiah 14:26-27 The Voice Bible translation says: Because I, God of earth and heaven, have devised a plan for the whole earth; I have reached out and Am ready to effect change among the nations. 27 And who can argue with that or stand in God’s way? The Eternal, Commander of heavenly armies, has determined that this is how it should be. And so it will be. Glory to God!
It is also humbling to note that whatever God has purposed to do in any circumstance will surely be accomplished with or without us.
Let me share a strange occurrence that happened to me as I was growing up in my small village as a teenager. I once make fun of those preachers on the street and laughed at them. As I laughed at them, one of them turned to me and said, keep making fun of us, but one day you also will be a preacher. “I laughed the more and sarcastically said, ” Not just a prophet, but indeed a prayer warrior.”
Obviously, one of those preachers saw a glimpse of what God had in store for me, but I was completely ignorant of it. But today look at me where I’m every day trying to accomplish the purpose of God in my life. I pray that the power of God will bring the purpose for which you were born to pass, even in the face of opposition in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
No one can successfully thwart God’s efforts or frustrate His purpose, especially with respect to predestination. Ephesians 1:11 AMP says: In Him also we have received an inheritance [a destiny—we were claimed by God as His own], having been predestined (chosen, appointed beforehand) according to the purpose of Him who works everything in agreement with the counsel and design of His will. Praise God!
In light of this scripture, when you cooperate with His divine purpose, you will experience unprecedented success, but when you choose to work against His purpose, the result is bound to be failure. I always tell people that all human beings are only playing their predefined roles in the script written by God before the creation of the world.
It is only sensible for wise actors to diligently study the script to properly interpret their roles and memorize their lines, so that their performance will run smoothly in synchronize with other players and in accordance with the overall purpose of the production. In this regard, Romans 8:28 AMP Bible translation says: And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. Hallelujah!!
This means that irrespective of what you are passing through in life, the most important thing is to ensure that your life is in agreement with the God’s purpose as revealed in His word. After you do this, you can sit back and watch God crown your efforts in life with success. In order to give you an expected end, He will work everything out in line with His predetermined purpose. What a glorious God we serve! Hallelujah! Praise God!
Jesus was on earth for a specific purpose and He wasn’t in doubt as to what that purpose was. Jesus Christ established His purpose: In John10:10 KJV He says: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
AMP Bible of the same verse says; The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. So Jesus knew He didn’t just come to the world to look around and die; His whole life was in pursuit of a purpose—to save and give life to all men. The same Jesus, God raised Him from the death after he fulfil His purpose. Praise God!
You are soo blessed and placed where you are today for a divine purpose, you can only discover that purpose through God’s Word. Hallelujah! Praise God!
Say this PRAYER: Dear Father, thank you for granting me the grace to discover Your purpose for my life and thank you Lord for the ability through the power of the Holy Spirit in fulfilling them in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
Praise God! Hallelujah!
